All Ages Showlist for July 11th 2008

Hey everyone-

well the list almost didn't happen this week. my internets [read: series of tubes] went out on me this week. while i am a proud earthlink customer since 2000, and proud to say that I am "Verizon Free", as a friend pointed out this week, you can never truly be "Verizon Free". Dammit. Sure enough, most of the smaller vendors simply buy usage of the Evil Empire's infrastructure. So, even though I am not "technically" a Verizon customer anymore, i have to wait 3 DAYS for them to come out a fix a break in their line which has caused my phone and internet to go out. sumbitch. even when i can finally get rid of them, i can't get rid of them.

well, as you can tell, it has been restored in time for the mighty list. so all is right with the world.

that was half the fun this week. let's just say I am avoid any non-farmer's market fruits and veggies until the FDA gets this salmonella thing figured out. not sure it is what i had, but whatever. it was not fun. not the kind of rapid weight loss program I am looking for.

amanda over in fort reno land, is looking a good, local t shirt vendor. send any suggestions to me, and I can forward them on to her. OR contact her directly through the fort reno website. ps- still no arsenic sightings. maybe it went the way of the snipe.

Speaking of fort reno...I went to the show on monday. Quite good. I only caught the end of the boom orangutang's set , but the City Veins were quite good. they have a show on the 15th at the black cat backstage. go sheck them out. a very tight 3 piece. But, the real eye opener was newly rejuvenated Sarah Azzara. I have not seen her perform in a while, and WOW was it different. very sassy. i really enjoyed it, and hod some fun taking pics. Without going into any detail, Sarah had a rough year. If monday is any indication, she has made a mighty comeback, guns a'blazin. good for her.

well, i have typed enough. more submissions please. go see a band this summer, they need the gas money.
