Showlist for December 19, 2008

Hey all-

Well, here we stand exactly one week from Christmas. Have you done all your shopping? Hanukkah starts Sunday at sundown. Even less time to finish. Well, now that I have stressed many of you out....

I was asked to mention Groundwaves.fm. It is an online website that lets bands submit songs to be played on the websites stream. It is an online radio station of sorts. No, this is not a corporate ad. The man who runs the site is a long time list member, and based out of Arlington. You can get more info here

OK, well, the list is probably going to come out a bit late next week. MANY family obligations next Thursday, and I will probably be gassed by Thursday night. I will get one out, though.

Alright, more submissions please. Remember, you can reply here, send one to dc-baltimore-shows[at]yahoogroups[dot]com, or dcbaltimoreallages[at]gmail[dot]com

have a good holiday, whatever you choose to celebrate.

later,
pete

Showlist December 12, 2008

Hey all-

Quiet week here at the list. Catching up on a bunch of things, finishing up the shopping, playing with my daughter, getting sucked into the huge time suck vortex that is facebook.

Lots of new shows added, but I still need submissions. More submissions = more better.

There are a lot of cool non-music events coming up. The now nearly famous Black Cat Rock and Shop is on the 21st, and this weekend is the Washington Glass School holiday sale and open house (2-6pm www.wasgglassschool.com).

Anyway, I am off to see if I can get me some of that bailout money....

Showlist for December 5th, 2008

Hey everyone-

Well, the list is a tad tardy this week. I was on the road all day yesterday, and was wiped by the time I got home, so the list got pushed. Happens.

Anyway, not a ton going on this week. But a few things of note. First the Gazette ran another article on the Live Nation Fillmore venue that is going to be in downtown Silver Spring. you can find that here. The video that is on the page is basically a rehashing of the article.

Also, Second Nature records posted a free 24 song sampler through Vinyl Collective here.

Well, I gotta get going. if you are in Alexandria tonight, you can stop by 808 North Fairfax Street, and see myself, my wife and child, and bunch of cool art stuff at the Art League Schools Art Fest. A little thing they put together to show off the expansion of the school space in that building. It's free, but you can buy art that will be on display there (including mine and my wife's). [This now concludes the shameless plug].

see ya'll next week. more submissions please.

later,
pete
